At first i thought this book was a little odd and i didn’t quite know what to think of it. But shortly after the first few pages i started to like, the books and it’s characters, more and more. The book has a great start, you get thrown directly into the story, filled with a lot of strange and funny situations, all happening around the main protagonist Christopher Boone. Even on the first 40-60 pages of the book there are already a lot of questions to be asked, Who Killed Wellington? Is there something more to the story of the Mother? Why does Christopher’s father hate Mr and Mrs Shears? I’m really excited to find out more about those questions while reading through the book. Overall i really enjoy the book up until now especially because of funny passages like this one:
“But I don’t take any notice because I don’t listen to what other people say and only sticks and stones can break my bones and I have my Swiss Army Knife if they hit me and if I kill them it will be self-defence and I won’t go to prison.”
I agree with you. Pay attention to your use of commas. We use way less commas in English than German.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat's really good to know. I'll definitely try to look into the rules for comma usage.
